- You have created an OLAP structure, and deployed that OLAP structure, to the Analysis Services server
- You have SQL server 2008 R2 developer edition installed and operating on your laptop or PC
- You have installed and configured HTTP access, which allows the XMLA OLAP connection between your Analysis Services server and any XMLA compatible client (such as Yellowfin)
- You have installed Yellowfin
