Yellowfin and She Loves Data

At Yellowfin we believe in supporting programs that encourage more young women to choose data analytics and data science as a career. She Loves Data is one of those inspiring programs.

At a recent She Loves Data event, Yellowfin’s Emma Urli and Kanella Theo had the opportunity to deliver a presentation on best practice in data vizualisation principals. This included an overview of what made great data visualization, some of the issues with traditional charts and the role of data story telling in helping better communicate complex data insights to a wider audience.

During the session, these principals were brought to life through a practical session on the Yellowfin BI platform. It was great to be part of something that hopefully inspired the audience to consider entering or progressing their career in the data and analytics field.
