With 86 percent of respondents rating Yellowfin as good for deploying within original budget, Yellowfin achieved the highest user satisfaction rate for this critical KPI. Only four other vendors scored over 80 percent.
“This is a fantastic result for Yellowfin,” said Yellowfin CEO and Co-Founder, Glen Rabie. “With business budgets tight, and many organizations put off buying BI solutions because they fear hidden costs, Yellowfin is able to provide a huge advantage to customers by delivering projects within budget.”
Yellowfin has a simple all-inclusive subscription-based licensing model, which provides the complete cost transparency customers need to accurately forecast their BI spend. A license includes access to all features and functions within Yellowfin’s end-to-end enterprise BI platform, with no additional modules or hidden costs.
As well as delivering on budget, Yellowfin was also identified as a leader for the price-to-value perception KPI within the ‘Dashboarding-focused products’ Peer Group in BARC’s The BI Survey 16.
“Yellowfin performs well in terms of price-to-value perception in the Dashboarding-focused products Peer Group of The BI Survey 16,” said BARC Founder and CEO, Dr Carsten Bange. “For the past three years, Yellowfin has held one of the leading positions in this KPI.”
Yellowfin also ranked number one in BARC’s The BI Survey 16 in the ‘Self-service Reporting-focused Products’ Peer Group for Collaboration, Location Intelligence, Innovation and Ease of Use KPIs. While in the ‘Americas-focused Vendors’ Peer Group, Yellowfin was top-ranked for the Collaboration, Mobile BI, Self-service BI and Innovation KPIs. In 2016, Yellowfin was positioned on Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms report for the third consecutive year.

About The BI Survey
The BI Survey 16 – now in its sixteenth year – is based on findings from a global survey featuring 3,137 respondents answering a series of detailed questions about their usage of a named product in the BI space. The survey compares BI products in areas including business benefits, project success, business value, recommendation, customer satisfaction, customer experience, innovation, and agility. Altogether, 37 products (or groups of products) are analyzed in detail. For more details see: www.bi-survey.com
About Peer Groups in The BI Survey 16
The BI Survey 16 features a range of different types of BI tools so we use Peer Groups to help identify competing products. The groups are essential to allow fair and useful comparisons of products that are likely to compete.
The Peer Groups have been defined by BARC analysts using their experience and judgment, with segmentation based on two key factors: the usage scenario and the regional focus.
