Yellowfin debuts in 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms

Global Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics software vendor, Yellowfin, has been named in the Gartner 2014 Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms* for the first time.

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms provides an independent qualitative analysis of the BI and analytics market, its strategic direction, state of maturity and key technology vendors.

“We are delighted with Yellowfin’s inclusion in Gartner’s 2014 Magic Quadrant for BI and analytics platforms,” said Yellowfin CEO, Glen Rabie. “It vindicates our focus on consumer-oriented BI, and mission to make reporting and analytics accessible to people of all business backgrounds. Yellowfin has experienced phenomenal growth over the past four years in particular, expanding our partner network and customer base across all industries and throughout the globe.

“Pleasingly, recognition in Gartner’s 2014 Magic Quadrant was related to Yellowfin’s previous platform – Yellowfin 6.3,” said Rabie. “Yellowfin 7 is such a massive improvement in product quality, encompassing stunning self-service Data Discovery features, with unparalleled collaborative capabilities and enhance administrative functions. The feedback around Yellowfin 7 and our product roadmap – from customers, partners and industry experts – has been simply outstanding.

“I’m confident you’ll see Yellowfin quickly progress towards the top right hand corner of the Magic Quadrant.”

Yellowfin was positioned as a “Niche Player” in the 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms. The research evaluated 27 different vendors across 17 capabilities in the following categories: information delivery, analysis and integration.

The 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms report also cited an additional 31 “Interesting Vendors” that did not qualify for inclusion in the Magic Quadrant itself.
