Yellowfin makes BI Scorecard Strategic and Product Summary report
Global Business Intelligence (BI) vendor, Yellowfin, has been added to the “noteworthy vendors” section of the latest BI Scorecard® Strategic and Product Summary report.
The report is updated annually, with summary scores updated quarterly, and provides strategic and functional criteria to consider when evaluating BI vendors and product modules.
BI Scorecard is an independent analyst firm that offers vendor neutral BI research and product reviews. BI Scorecard tests BI solutions hands-on, scoring vendors and products across more than 300 criteria, and assessing them from the perspective of prospective customers.
The report notes Yellowfin’s collaborative components, ability to generate geospatial reports and mobile functionality that includes native applications for Apple and Android devices. The report states that Yellowfin offers real-time analysis via an in-memory database but, in contrast to other in-memory solutions, also contains a meta data layer for easy business user navigation.
The study acknowledges increases in widespread business user driven/oriented BI deployments, declaring that “Business intelligence is no longer just a departmental effort and has continued to evolve into a mission critical solution, now essential to companies from all industries and sizes.”
The report also recognizes the continued rise of Mobile BI and its increasing usefulness for fast-paced decision-making on the go, pronouncing that “Customers should make Mobile BI a part of their BI delivery plans but should continue to expect significant change in this segment.”
The BI Scorecard Strategic and Product Summary is compiled by BI Scorecard Founder and President, Cindi Howson.
