Conditional Formats with Negatives

Hi,

I am trying to apply a conditional format alert with a negative value in the condition rule statement.

In the first image I enter the rule that the cell value colour must display black if the value is less than or equal to -7.5.

I exit the Conditional Formatting dialog to accept the changes but if I return to the dialog screen, the new rule is saved by the value is now a positive.

Please can you clarify how to use negative values with conditional formats rules in order to change the colour of the cell or value.

Regards,

Nick

Hi Nick,

I was able to replicate the problem you experiencing, it seems to be a bug in YF 7.

I logged a dev task (TASK # 156710) for this to be fixed in a future release

Stephen
Hi Stephen

Noticed this was originally working in YF7 - but with the recent patch the bug emerged.

Are you able to release a patch to fix (or work around)? - would this be quicker than a new release? not helpful with all reports that have a variance analysis.

Regards

Paul
Hi Paul,

I have noted down this task and will personally bring it up at the next dev meeting, so will do my best to try and get it in the March Yellowfin 7 release.

We release monthly patches, though nothing in between.
As you can imagine, once fixes are made, they need to be tested, and there is no way to rush this :(.

Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Regards,
David

Hi Nick,

Its a pain in the balls but if you use the Advanced Conditional Formatting, it accepts negatives.

Tom
Hi Guys,

I can confirm this has been fixed in the latest Yellowfin 7 March release.

I've just closed the support task (TASK ID =156710).

Please let me know if you still have issues after running the latest patch.

David
